Our Mission
At Lighthouse Counseling, we strive to guide others by helping them reorient their life according to God's standard. We compassionately invest and walk with each person seeking to better understand how to help them navigate their variety of challenges. We believe that there is hope and restoration for every person seeking answers. Our counseling aim is to personally care for the client as God cares for them.
Our Services
We offer a variety of counseling services including individual, marriage, and family counseling both in person and virtually. Our biblical counseling is rooted in walking alongside people compassionately and practically in providing wisdom, hope, and direction.
Our Counselors
Matt Cowan is the current Pastor of Biblical Counseling at Calvary Road Baptist Church and the founder of Lighthouse Biblical Counseling. He graduated with his Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 and received his certification through the Association of Biblical Counselors in 2023 and is currently in pursuit of his doctrate at SEBTS. Matt has a shepherd’s heart that desires to walk with people compassionately and relationally and loves to connect people to the truths of God’s Word. He has been married to his wife, Becca for 12 years and they have two boys.
